The Bellingham Metal Arts Guild (BMAG) is a newly formed non-profit guild created by and for lovers of the metal arts.

How It All Started
A small group of passionate artists, students and teachers began the process of forming BMAG at the end of January, 2012 with a meeting at the now closed Pouncing Rain Jewelry & Metalworking Center. The interests expressed by the 24 people who attended this meeting were noted and used to create our Mission Statement and Objectives along with additional input from others in the community.

What We Have Been Doing
  • We have signed a year long lease for a new location.
  • We have moved in and we're open for business!
  • We have started holding classes!
  • BMAG is a Washington State non-profit corporation.
  • The IRS 501(c)(3) application has been submitted. 
  • We have contracted with Allied Arts to be a temporary fiscal agent for BMAG providing a non-profit umbrella for fund raising activity while we wait for an IRS determination on our application.
Next Steps
  • We intend to start scheduling more classes.
  • Consider whether, as a member, you or someone you know could be an active part of the Guild by contributing skills and experience needed to the various committees or to serve on the Board of Directors. A committee list is posted on this website.
